Netflix’s hit series Wednesday has returned for its second season, and this time it comes with a gothic powerhouse twist. Lady Gaga has officially joined the Addams Family universe, both musically and on-screen, in what fans are calling one of the most exciting crossovers of the year.
Season 2 premiered in two parts, with the first four episodes arriving on August 6. The second half, which includes Gaga’s highly anticipated appearance, will debut on September 3. Gaga plays Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore Academy teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday. Her role was revealed during Netflix’s Tudum 2025 event, where both Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton praised her casting.

In addition to her cameo, Gaga has recorded an original track for the season titled The Dead Dance. Described as a dark, pulsating pop anthem with theatrical flair, the single was co-written and produced with Andrew Watt and Cirkut. It will be released globally on streaming platforms the same day as Part 2’s premiere, ensuring that Gaga’s arrival in the Wednesday world is both musical and cinematic.
With Season 2 leaning deeper into its supernatural themes, Gaga’s contributions heighten the show’s sense of mystery and theatricality. Between her chilling new character and her haunting new single, Wednesday’s second season promises to deliver both thrills and spectacle, cementing Gaga as a perfect fit for the Addams Family’s darkly stylish world.
