Ex-Nashville officer Sean Herman sentenced to probation after appearing in adult video while on duty

Former Metro Nashville Police Department officer Sean Herman has been sentenced to one year of supervised probation after entering a “best interest” plea to felony official misconduct, following his involvement in an adult video filmed while he was on duty.

The incident took place on April 26, 2024, when Herman participated in a staged traffic stop in a warehouse parking lot within his Madison precinct. In the video, which was later uploaded to OnlyFans, a woman identified as “Jordin” exposed her breasts, and Herman—wearing his MNPD uniform—was seen groping her. Detectives quickly identified Herman, confirmed he was on duty at the time, and launched an internal investigation. Just one day after the video came to light, Herman was fired from the department in May 2024.

He was later arrested at his home in Sumner County on two counts of felony official misconduct, with bond set at $3,000. On August 15, 2025, Herman entered a “best interest” plea, a legal maneuver that allows him to plead guilty for court purposes without admitting factual guilt. One of the charges was dismissed, and the judge granted him judicial diversion, which means the charges could eventually be dismissed and expunged from his record if he successfully completes probation.

The fallout extended beyond the courtroom. In August 2024, the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission indefinitely suspended Herman’s law enforcement certification, though he may petition for reinstatement once his case is resolved. MNPD officials sharply condemned his actions at the time, calling the stunt “one of the most outrageous, disrespectful acts” that undermined the integrity of the police force.

Although Herman avoided jail time, his case underscores the broader issues of misconduct and public trust in law enforcement. The decision to grant diversion means his record could be cleared, but his professional reputation remains deeply tarnished, and his future in policing remains uncertain.
