Raja Jackson viral wrestling assault video triggers backlash, investigation, and outcry

A violent incident at a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Sun Valley, California has become the center of global attention after a video showing Raja Jackson, son of former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, brutally assaulting fellow wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith went viral. The disturbing footage, captured live on the streaming platform Kick, sparked widespread condemnation from fans, fellow athletes, and industry figures, while also drawing the attention of law enforcement.

Reports indicate that the altercation began backstage when Smith allegedly struck Raja with a beer can. Later in the evening, during a scheduled performance, Raja entered the ring and launched a shocking real attack. The video shows him lifting Smith and slamming him onto the mat before delivering more than 20 punches as Smith lay motionless, forcing other wrestlers to intervene. KnokX Pro Wrestling condemned the behavior as “selfish” and “egregious,” noting that in its 17 years of operation, the promotion had never seen such a flagrant violation of professional conduct.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson addressed the incident on social media, saying he initially thought the fight was part of a scripted storyline gone wrong. He admitted his son showed poor judgment and revealed that Raja had suffered a concussion just days before the event. Rampage confirmed that Smith was “awake and stable” following hospitalization and issued apologies to both the wrestling community and fans.

Syko Stu, a U.S. Army veteran who has previously spoken about using wrestling to cope with PTSD, sustained serious injuries including broken facial bones and lost teeth. He remains under medical care but is reportedly conscious and speaking. His condition has drawn sympathy from fans and wrestlers across the globe, many of whom have demanded stricter safety measures to protect performers from unsanctioned violence.

Authorities have since stepped in. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that officers responded to the scene and that a formal report has been filed. While no charges have yet been announced, an investigation into the incident is ongoing. Meanwhile, the streaming platform Kick has banned Raja Jackson’s account, citing its zero-tolerance stance on violent conduct broadcast outside of scripted performance.

As of today, the fallout continues to intensify. The wrestling community remains divided between those calling for accountability and those urging compassion given Raja’s reported concussion and mental state. With Smith recovering in the hospital, Rampage Jackson attempting damage control, and law enforcement investigating the matter, the shocking event stands as one of the most controversial and unsettling moments in recent wrestling history.
