Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is an international multi-sport event taking place in Tokyo, Japan, from July 23 to August 8, 2021, with some preliminary events starting on July 21.
During the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tokyo was selected as the host city.
The event originally was to occur between July 24 to August 9, 2020, but was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
