Zola is a black comedy movie based on a viral Twitter thread by A'Ziah King AKA Zola, and the resulting Rolling Stone article Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind The Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted by David Kushner.

From acclaimed writer/director Janicza Bravo, it stars Taylour Paige as Zola, a part-time stripper who is convinced by her new friend (Riley Keough) to join a weekend of dancing and partying in Florida.

A glamorous, hoeism-filled getaway turns into a 48-hour adventure with a nameless pimp, an idiot boyfriend, some Tampa gangsters, and other unexpected adventures in this wild tale.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2020, and was released in the United States by A24 on June 30, 2021.
